Regular model is offered in 7-trim versions, base model XL, off road FX4, sporty STX, new up-level Platinum, mid-level XLT, Lariat and King Ranch. The standard engine to the 2009 version include a 4.6 liter SOHC V8 version that delivers 248 hp of power at 4750 rpm and torque of 294 lb ft at 4000 rpm. It is mated to 4-speed automatic transmission. New features offered as standard include Ford F150 power steering wheel, navigation system with real time traffic information and satellite radio.
Transmission & Mileage
The other engines available include 4.6 liter V8 model that delivers 292 hp of power and a 5.4 liter V8 engine that produces 310 hp of power and 365 lb ft of torque. Both the engines are paired to 6-speed automatic transmission. With the V8 engine, the SUV model can achieve fuel economy of 15 miles per gallon in the city premises and 20 miles per gallon on the highway roads. Apart from new sporty features, it is also equipped with most advanced safety and comfort amenities.
